Here is an instructional video for use of Perfect Player. There is a section (from approximately 8:30 to the 25 minute mark) which covers "settings". Try them out if you like but I have already tweaked them so things run smooth. If you do try them DO NOT touch anything in "General" settings as you may lose your TV listings and guide. There is also a step by step description on the Info page.
There is a wealth of information online about KODI. Just do a Google search and start reading. A good place to start is "KodiTips" ( http://koditips.com/kodi-tips-and-tricks/
